
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is welcoming new participants to be part of the landmark Football Management Diploma (FMD) journey, with the fourth edition now open for registration.
Since its launch in November 2021, the FMD continues to attract a diverse range of participants from across the Continent aspiring to be future leaders in Asian football.
The fourth edition of the virtual programme is scheduled to kick off in October and will comprise best-in-class lectures, engaging discussions, and high-level business presentations.
The comprehensive curriculums, designed by Switzerland-based Football Business Academy (FBA), aims to enhance the skill sets of participants in core areas of football management, inculcate industry knowledge and strengthen capabilities to plan, execute and monitor daily operations.
Interested participants will undergo sessions held over 13 months with 460 hours of study time focusing on 12 core modules comprising the Organisation of World Football, International Sports Federation, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Income Generation, Media & Communications, Event Management, Operational Management, Human Resource Management, Child Safeguarding & Social Responsibility, Sports Law, and Club Licensing.
The FMD is part of the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) targeted at middle and senior management of the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) as well as independent stakeholders.
